The parts and fluids a machine goes through
23 categories of things that wear out, get used up and are bought again, judged the same way as the equipment: by what they change, and whether the cheaper option already does the job. A part only helps if it matches what you own exactly — a visor fits the models its maker lists and no others, a chain is cut for one pitch and one link count, and a pad is identified by a reference rather than by a photograph.
