What the seller commits to paper
100 ml. Special polymers to minimise metal-on-metal friction plus PTFE. O-, X- and Z-ring tested. High resistance to washing off, for rain. And a claim of 4× better wear and corrosion protection.
And a full application method: shake well, spray on the inside of a clean chain, and allow at least one hour — ideally overnight — to flash off.
The application method is the best thing in this listing
Two instructions, both of which most riders get wrong.
On the inside. Centrifugal force carries lubricant outward as the chain turns, so lubricant applied to the inner run travels through the rollers where it is needed. Applied to the outside, it goes onto the wheel on the first corner.
Wait an hour, or overnight. A chain spray is a lubricant in a solvent carrier. The solvent has to evaporate before the lubricant sets. Riding ten minutes after spraying throws most of it off.
Together those two lines are the difference between lubricating a chain and decorating a swingarm.
“Tested”, not “suitable”
The distinction is small and it is real. Two other lubricants in this family state they are suitable for ring chains; this one says the rings were tested on.
The claim without a baseline
4× better. Better than what is not stated — not than an untreated chain, not than a named competitor, not than the previous formulation. It is the only number in the listing and it is the least useful thing in it.
