Creep and adhesion, named separately

They are opposite requirements and a chain spray needs both, in order.

Creep is the ability to flow into the gap between roller and pin while still wet. Adhesion is staying there once the solvent has gone. A lubricant that only creeps runs off; one that only adheres sits on the outside of a chain and lubricates nothing.

Listing them as two properties rather than one is a maker describing the sequence rather than praising the result.

Copper-free, published

A composition statement rather than a performance claim, and the only one on this shelf. It says what is not in the can, which is more checkable than any of the nine adjectives above it.
